POLYAMIDE – LIGHTLY SOILED AREA GUIDE

Step 1: Pre-Vacuuming

  • Thoroughly pre-vacuum the carpet to remove loose dirt and debris.

Step 2: Spot Treatment

  • Identify any stains or spillages.

  • Treat with a suitable spot cleaner applied via a white cotton terry towel, allowing you to see the transfer visually.

Step 3: Rinse Extraction

  • Prepare your rinse solution by mixing WS Stain Repel Rinse at 30ml per 10 litres of clean water.

  • Rinse extract the carpet slowly and methodically using your extraction wand.

Tip: For every wet pass, follow with at least seven dry passes to fully remove moisture and residues.
Maintain uniform, straight wand passes — avoid zig-zagging to prevent pile distortion or “shark’s teeth,” which can become permanent.

Step 4: Agitation of Stubborn Areas

  • For stubborn soils or stains, gently scrub the carpet using the extraction wand in a forward-and-back motion while extracting.

  • After agitation, reset the pile to restore carpet appearance.

Step 5: Spot Treatment (If Required)

  • Any remaining stains can be treated using a suitable spot cleaning product.

  • Refer to the Spotting Guide for product selection and technique.

Step 6: Deodorisation

  • WS Stain Repel Rinse effectively deodorises polyamide carpets during extraction.

  • For enhanced results, a deodoriser may be added to the rinse tank or lightly sprayed over the carpet after cleaning.
