Professional Carpet Cleaning Guide β Intensive Treatment for Severely Damaged Polyamide Carpets
Step 1: Pre-Vacuuming
Thoroughly pre-vacuum the carpet to remove loose dirt and debris.
Step 2: Prepare Pre-Spray Solution
Mix WS Hybrid Pre-Spray at 60ml per litre of water.
Ensure the solution is fully blended before use.
Step 3: Apply Pre-Spray
Apply a heavy, even coat of pre-spray using overlapping passes.
Allow the solution to dwell for 15 minutes, during which it will break down soils and deodorise the carpet.
Step 4: Agitation
After dwell time, use mechanical scrubbing methods to thoroughly agitate and lift embedded dirt from the carpet fibres.
Step 5: Rinse Extraction
Prepare your rinse solution by mixing WS High Power WS Neutraliser (Acidic Rinse) at 30ml per 10 litres of clean water.
Rinse extract the carpet slowly and methodically using your extraction wand.
Tip: For every wet pass, follow with at least seven dry passes. Maintain uniform, straight wand passes β avoid zig-zagging to prevent pile distortion or βsharkβs teeth,β which can become permanent in polyamide carpets.
Step 6: Spot Treatment
Any remaining stains can be treated using a suitable spot cleaning product.
Refer to the Spotting Guide for product selection and technique.
Step 7: Protective Coating
Apply WS Advanced Fabric Stain Protection at a 1:1 dilution to create a long-lasting dirt and hydrophobic barrier.
Application can be done wet or dry depending on your method and equipment.
