SYNTHETIC CARPET WITH BLOOD SPILLAGE GUIDE

Note: Multiple applications may be required. Use of a water claw may be necessary. PPE must be worn and all equipment disinfected after use. Biohazard training is recommended.

Step 1: Spot Treatment of Heavy Areas

  • Apply WS Hybrid Pre-Spray at 30ml per litre to heavily affected areas.

  • Extract immediately using High Power WS Neutraliser (Acidic Rinse) at 30ml per 10 litres in your machine.

Step 2: Prepare Pre-Spray Solution

  • Mix WS Hybrid Pre-Spray at 30ml per litre of water.

Step 3: Apply Pre-Spray

  • Apply a heavy amount of pre-spray to the carpet using overlapping passes.

  • Allow the solution to dwell for 15 minutes, during which it will break down soils and deodorise the carpet.

Step 4: Agitation

  • After dwell time, use mechanical scrubbing methods to thoroughly agitate the carpet fibres.

Step 5: Rinse Extraction

  • Prepare your rinse solution by mixing High Power WS Neutraliser (Acidic Rinse) at 30ml per 10 litres of clean water.

  • Rinse extract the carpet slowly and methodically using your cleaning wand.

Tip: For every wet pass, follow with at least two dry passes.
On polypropylene and polyester carpets, zig-zagging or “shark’s teeth” will not permanently disrupt the pile, but for a professional finish, maintain a uniform pass pattern.

Step 6: Spot Treatment

  • Any remaining stains can be treated using a suitable spot cleaning product.

  • Refer to the Spotting Guide for detailed instructions and product selection.
