Professional Carpet Cleaning Guide – Extreme Soiling on VLM or High-Performance Carpets
Equipment Required: Slow-speed rotary floor cleaner or orbital machine, agitation/zebra pad, and a microfibre bonnet.
Step 1: Prepare Pre-Spray Solution
Mix High Performance Pre-Spray at 120ml per litre of water.
Step 2: Apply Pre-Spray
Apply a liberal amount of pre-spray to the carpet using overlapping passes.
Allow the solution to dwell for 15 minutes, during which it will break down soils.
Step 3: Prepare Pad for Agitation
Spray your pad with High Power WS Neutraliser (Acidic Rinse) at 120ml per litre, or soak the pad in a bucket mixture of the same solution.
Step 4: Mechanical Agitation
Make slow, overlapping passes using your rotary or orbital machine over the pre-sprayed area.
Use a shower feed tank to apply additional High Power WS Neutraliser (Acidic Rinse) as needed, allowing continuous cleaning without re-dipping the pad.
Step 5: Microfibre Bonnet Drying
Follow up with a dry microfibre bonnet to remove excess dirt and moisture.
Make slow, overlapping passes for a uniform finish.
Step 6: Chewing Gum Removal (Optional)
For chewing gum, mix High Power VLM Pre-Spray at 50:50 (1 litre per 1 litre water).
Apply as a spot treatment and gently lift the gum from underneath.
Note: The gum will release easily without the need for harsh solvents.
